Installation and Technical Tips

• Proper Indexing: Before pressing out the old bushings, use a paint marker to note the "clocking" or rotational position of the original bushing. These bushings are designed with specific voids in the rubber to allow flex in only one direction; incorrect indexing can cause a harsh ride and premature failure.

• Pressing Requirements: These are heavy-duty, press-fit components. A hydraulic shop press or a dedicated on-car trailing arm bushing tool is required for installation. Attempting to install these without a press can result in damage to the trailing arm or the new bushing shell.

• Suspension Neutralization: After installation, do not perform the final torque of the mounting bolts while the vehicle is on jack stands. Lower the vehicle to its natural ride height on the ground before tightening. This prevents the rubber from being "pre-loaded," which is the primary cause of bushing tearing shortly after replacement.
