Installation and Technical Tips
Safety First: When removing broken glass, always wear eye protection and heavy-duty gloves. Glass shards can be extremely sharp and may splinter during the removal process.
Removal Procedure: Tilt your mirror motor all the way inward toward the window. Carefully insert a plastic pry tool behind the old backing plate and pop it off the circular motor hub.
Clean the Housing: Before installing the new glass, use a damp cloth to wipe out any road grit or debris from inside the mirror housing. This ensures the motor actuator can move freely without binding.
The "Click" Test: Align the center hub of the new backing plate with the motor actuator. Press firmly but evenly in the center of the glass until you hear a distinct "click." Test the mirror's movement using your interior power switch to ensure it is fully seated and calibrated.
