Installation and Maintenance Tips
Diagnostic Signs: Common indicators of failure include a rattling or "knocking" sound originating from the rear suspension, especially when driving over small bumps or speed humps.
Easy Removal: Because rear suspension components are exposed to road spray, the mounting nuts may be rusted. Apply a penetrating oil 15–20 minutes before removal to prevent the stud from stripping.
Counter-Holding the Stud: When tightening or loosening the nuts, you may need to use an Allen key or a thin backup wrench on the base of the stud to prevent it from spinning within the socket.
Final Torque: Always tighten the nuts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. Under-tightening is a frequent cause of recurring noise shortly after installation.
