Installation and Technical Tips
Matched Pair Installation: Coil springs should always be replaced in pairs. Replacing only one side will result in an uneven ride height and can cause unpredictable handling and uneven tire wear.
Insulator Replacement: Before installing your new springs, inspect the rubber spring insulators (isolators). If they are cracked or brittle, replacing them now will prevent annoying metal-on-metal squeaks and rattles.
Tension Release: To safely remove the old springs, the rear axle must be lowered. Be cautious of the brake lines and ABS sensor wires; ensure they are not over-stretched while the axle is in the lowered position.
Ride Height Settlement: It is normal for the vehicle to sit slightly higher immediately after installation. The springs will "settle" to their final factory height after the first few miles of driving.
