Installation and Safety Guidelines
Hydraulic Seal: Always utilize the provided new copper crush washers when reconnecting the banjo bolt for the brake line. An airtight seal at the hose connection is critical for maintaining system pressure.
Bleeding Procedure: Because the caliper is located at the rear of the vehicle, it is essential to perform a full system bleed starting from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder. Air trapped in the lines will cause a dangerously soft brake pedal.
Slide Pin Lubrication: While the bracket is pre-assembled, applying a thin layer of high-temperature silicone-based brake grease to the slide pins before installation can further prevent caliper binding and brake drag.
Bedding-In: After installation, perform several controlled stops from low speeds to properly seat the new caliper components and ensure the brake pads are making full, even contact with the rotor surface.
