Installation and Technical Tips

• Parking Brake Inspection: These rotors feature an internal "Drum-in-Hat" design for the parking brake. Before installation, inspect the condition of your internal parking brake shoes. Use a brake cleaner to remove any shipping oil from the internal drum surface of the new rotor.

• Hub Surface Cleaning: Use a wire brush or hub cleaning tool to remove all corrosion from the wheel hub before mounting the new rotors. Even a small amount of debris can cause "lateral run-out," resulting in vibration or pulsation through the brake pedal.

• Brembo Maintenance: For models with Brembo calipers, ensure the slider pins and anti-rattle clips are thoroughly cleaned. Apply the included high-temperature lubricant to the contact points between the pad backing plate and the caliper to prevent squealing.

• Bedding-In Procedure: To optimize the lifespan of the G-Coating and the ceramic pads, perform a series of 5 to 10 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph. This transfers an even layer of friction material to the rotor surface, preventing "hot spots" and ensuring smooth operation.
