Installation and Technical Tips
Parking Brake Adjustment: These rotors use a "Drum-In-Hat" design where the parking brake shoes sit inside the rotor hat. When installing, you may need to back off the parking brake adjuster through the access hole to remove the old rotor and then re-adjust it once the new rotor is seated.

Clean the Hub: European hub assemblies are prone to "mating" rust.
Use a wire brush to clean the hub face thoroughly. Any debris left behind will cause the performance rotor to sit unevenly, resulting in runout and pedal vibration. Bedding-In Procedure: Proper bedding is vital for drilled and slotted rotors. Perform a series of 5 to 8 moderate stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph. This allows a uniform layer of friction material to transfer to the rotor surface, preventing noise and squealing.
Directional Installation: Pay attention to the drill and slot patterns. These are often side-specific to ensure the vanes and slots "sweep" away from the direction of rotation for optimal cooling and debris evacuation.
