Installation and Technical Tips
ABS Awareness: This hub features a magnetic encoder ring built into the rear seal. Keep the unit away from strong magnets and handle the rear face with care to avoid damaging the encoder, which could trigger an ABS warning light.
Mounting Surface: Use a wire brush to clean the trailing arm mounting surface of all rust and corrosion. A clean, flat surface is essential to ensure the hub sits perfectly true and prevents lateral runout in your brake rotors.
Torque Sequence: Tighten the four mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to the manufacturer's specified torque. Even pressure across the flange is vital for bearing longevity and heat dissipation.
Wheel Stud Protection: Avoid using an impact wrench to tighten your lug nuts for the first time on a new hub. Use a hand-operated torque wrench to ensure the pre-installed studs stay properly seated and the threads are not stretched.
