Installation and Technical Tips

• Remove Shipping Oil: These rotors are coated in a specialized oil to prevent rust during storage. Use a dedicated brake cleaner to spray down both friction surfaces until they are bone-dry before installing your brake pads.

• Inspect Rear Calipers: The Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type utilize a "screw-in" style rear caliper for the parking brake mechanism. Ensure you use the correct caliper reset tool to retract the piston; forcing it straight back with a C-clamp will damage the internal adjuster.

• Hub Maintenance: Use a steel wire brush to clean the wheel hub surface. Any rust buildup between the hub and the new rotor can cause "induced runout," leading to a pulsing brake pedal even with brand-new parts.
