Installation and Maintenance Notes
Coating Safety: Unlike standard "oiled" rotors, G-Coated rotors do not require a heavy degreasing before installation. However, we recommend a light wipe-down of the friction surface with brake cleaner to remove any fingerprints or packaging dust.
Hardware Inspection: For 1994–2004 Mustangs, ensure the rear caliper slides are properly lubricated with high-temperature silicone grease. Seized slides are the #1 cause of uneven wear on new rotors.
Lug Nut Torque: Always use a star pattern when tightening your wheels. The recommended torque for this generation of Mustang is 85–105 ft-lbs.
Pair Replacement: Brake rotors should always be replaced in pairs across the same axle to ensure consistent braking force and prevent the car from pulling to one side under heavy braking.
