Installation and Technical Tips

• Vertical Storage: It is vital to store and handle the fan clutch in an upright (vertical) position whenever possible. Storing the unit flat can cause the internal silicone fluid to leak out or migrate into areas where it can interfere with the thermal spring's operation.

• Fan Blade Inspection: Before mounting your existing fan blade to the new clutch, inspect the plastic blades for cracks, chips, or warping. A damaged fan blade can become unbalanced, creating vibrations that will cause the bearings in both the new clutch and your water pump to fail prematurely.
