Installation and Troubleshooting Tips
Electrical Check: Before removing your door panel, verify that the window switch and fuses are functional. If you hear a "click" when pressing the switch but the window does not move, the motor has likely failed.
Regulator Condition: Inspect the window regulator (the tracks and cables) while the motor is removed. If the regulator is bent or the cables are frayed, a new motor may burn out prematurely due to excessive resistance.
Safety First: Secure the window glass in the "Up" position using non-marking painter's tape draped over the door frame before disconnecting the motor from the regulator. This prevents the glass from falling and breaking during the swap.
Clean the Tracks: For the best performance, clean the window run channels and apply a light coating of silicone-based lubricant. This reduces the load on the new motor and ensures faster window travel.
