Engineered specifically for Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) configurations of the 1999–2007 GM truck platform, this hose transports high-pressure fluid from the power steering pump directly to the steering gear. Over time, heat and constant pressure cycles can degrade factory hoses, causing leaks at the crimped joints or cracks in the rubber.
This assembly is built to withstand the rigors of heavy-duty use, featuring PA-reinforced CSM rubber and zinc-coated steel tubing. Its 615mm length and pre-bent fittings ensure a direct fit that follows the original equipment routing, preventing interference with engine components and maintaining the integrity of your hydraulic system.

Installation and Technical Tips
Hydraulic Hygiene: Before installing the new hose, drain the old fluid and flush the system with fresh power steering fluid. Debris from a failing hose or pump can clog the internal valves of your steering gear.
O-Ring Lubrication: Lightly coat the new O-rings with clean power steering fluid before inserting the fittings into the pump and gear. This prevents the rubber from tearing or binding, which is a common cause of post-installation leaks.
Hand Start Only: Always start the 16mm and 18mm threaded fittings by hand for at least 3 to 4 full turns. The threads in the steering gear are easily cross-threaded; never use an impact or wrench to start the threading process.
System Bleeding: After installation, fill the reservoir and turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock (without the engine running) 10–15 times to purge air. Start the engine and repeat the process, topping off the fluid as air bubbles escape.
