Installation and Technical Tips
Switch Transfer: When moving your existing pressure sensor switch to the new hose, inspect the switch threads and electrical connector for corrosion. Hand-start the threads into the switch port to avoid cross-threading.
O-Ring Lubrication: Apply a light film of fresh power steering fluid to the new O-rings before installation. This prevents the seals from binding or tearing as you torque the fittings.
Routing Security: Ensure the pre-installed mounting brackets are secured to their factory locations. Proper anchoring prevents the hose from rubbing against the frame or engine components, which can lead to premature abrasive failure.
Purging the System: Once installed and the reservoir is filled, perform a steering bleed by turning the wheel from lock-to-lock at least 15 times with the engine running. This removes trapped air, ensuring smooth steering assist and preventing pump noise.
