Installation and Technical Tips
Proper Alignment: Before snapping the new glass into place, align the circular mount on the backing plate with the motor head inside the mirror housing. Applying pressure without proper alignment can damage the delicate internal motor gears.
Wiring Connection: Ensure the electrical leads for the heating grid and the blind spot indicator are pushed firmly onto the terminals. Loose connections are the leading cause of "Heated Mirror Not Working" complaints following a glass replacement.
Pressure Application: To avoid cracking the new glass during installation, apply firm but even pressure using the palm of your hand against the center of the mirror. Avoid using your fingers to apply localized pressure on the edges of the glass.
System Check: Once installed, cycle your vehicle's side-view mirror adjustment switch to ensure the glass moves freely through its full range of motion without binding against the mirror housing.
