Installation and Technical Tips

• Electrical Safety: Always disconnect the negative battery cable before attempting to remove the old starter. The positive cable connected to the solenoid is live and can cause a dangerous short-circuit if it contacts the engine block or frame.

• Surface Preparation: Ensure the mounting surface on the transmission housing is clean and free of rust or debris. Because the starter grounds through its mounting flange, a clean connection is vital for maximum cranking power.

• Inspect the Trigger Wire: Check the small "S" terminal (trigger wire) connector for corrosion. If the connector is green or brittle, clean it or replace the terminal to prevent intermittent "clicking" or starting failure.
