Installation and Technical Tips
Checking Compatibility: Ensure your existing mirror glass has the car icon for Blind Spot Monitoring and the arrow for the turn signal. This replacement is designed for vehicles with the DL3 mirror option code.
Removal Process: Tilt the mirror motor inward to expose the outer edge. Use a plastic trim tool or gloved hands to gently pry the backing plate away from the motor actuator.
Wiring Connections: Carefully disconnect the leads for the heating element and the harness for the signal/blind spot indicators before removing the old glass. Ensure the new connectors are pushed firmly onto the terminals to maintain a stable electrical connection.
Final Seating: Align the circular mounting ring on the back of the new glass with the center of the mirror motor. Press firmly at the center until you hear it click into place. Test all electronic functions before driving.
