Installation and Diagnostic Tips

  • Electrical Safety: Before beginning installation, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental short circuits or airbag deployment while working near the steering column.

  • Switch vs. Cylinder: Please note this is the electrical switch only. If your key is physically stuck or will not turn in the housing, you may also need to replace the mechanical lock cylinder.
