Installation and Technical Tips
The "Battery Drain" Warning: A failed module can often "short-to-on," meaning your blower fan will continue to run after the engine is turned off. This will drain your battery overnight. If your fan won't stop running, replace this module immediately.
Check the Pigtail: Before plugging in the new module, inspect the female wiring harness connector for melted plastic or discoloration. High amperage from a failing blower motor can damage the connector; if it is burnt, the harness must be replaced to prevent damaging the new module.
Blower Motor Resistance: If your blower motor is making a high-pitched squeak or chirping noise, it is likely drawing more current than intended. This extra load is the leading cause of module failure. We recommend testing the blower motor's amperage draw to ensure it isn't "killing" your new control module.
Static Safety: As this is a solid-state electronic component, avoid touching the connector pins directly to prevent static discharge from damaging the internal microchips
