Installation and Maintenance Tips

Replace Clamps: It is highly recommended to use new stainless steel worm-gear clamps during installation. Old clamps often lose their tension and can cause slow leaks or allow moisture to enter the fuel system.
Check the Vent Hose: While replacing the filler hose, inspect the smaller fuel tank vent hose. These two parts are often subjected to the same environmental wear; if one is cracked, the other is likely in similar condition.

Installation Tip: If the hose is difficult to slide onto the filler neck or tank port, use a small amount of dish soap and water as a lubricant. Avoid using oil-based lubricants, as they can degrade the rubber over time.
Safety Warning: Ensure the fuel tank is mostly empty before beginning work and perform the replacement in a well-ventilated area away from any sources of ignition.
