Fuel Tank Filler Neck and Hose Assembly

Reliable Fuel System Restoration for 1993–1997 Ford and Mazda Trucks

Restore the safety and integrity of your fuel system with this high-quality Fuel Tank Filler Neck. Designed specifically for the 1993–1997 Ford Ranger and Mazda B-Series platforms, this assembly is a critical replacement for original pipes that have suffered from severe rust, perforation, or dry-rotted rubber hoses. A compromised filler neck is a leading cause of fuel odors, "Check Engine" lights due to EVAP system leaks, and hazardous fuel spills during refueling.

This unit is manufactured with a corrosion-resistant coating to withstand harsh road salt and environmental moisture. It features precision-engineered bends and an integrated vent tube to ensure consistent fuel flow and prevent annoying "splash-back" while at the pump.

Fitment Verification and Vehicle Applications

This assembly is specifically engineered for models equipped with a 6-foot (182.9 cm) Fleetside/Styleside bed. It will not fit Flareside (Step-side) or 7-foot long beds.

  • Ford Ranger: 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997.

  • Mazda B2300: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997.

  • Mazda B3000: 1994, 1995, 1996.

  • Mazda B4000: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997.

  • Bed Style Note: Fits Fleetside (standard straight-side) beds only.

Installation and Technical Tips

  • Safety First: Ensure your fuel tank is less than a quarter full before beginning installation to minimize fumes and spill risks. Always work in a well-ventilated area away from open flames.

  • Bed Clearance: While not strictly necessary, many technicians find that loosening the bed mounting bolts and lifting the driver-side of the bed roughly 6 inches provides significantly better access to the fuel tank hose clamps.

  • EVAP Codes: If your vehicle was displaying a P0440 or P0442 code (Large/Small EVAP Leak), installing this new neck should resolve the issue. Be sure to inspect the gas cap seal as well, as a faulty cap is often a secondary source of these codes.

  • Corrosion Protection: Before installing the new neck, clean the mounting area on the truck frame. Applying a light layer of undercoating or anti-seize to the mounting screws can prevent future corrosion and make any subsequent service much easier.
