Installation and Technical Tips
Clean the Tank Exterior: Before removing the old assembly, use compressed air to blow away any dirt or debris from the top of the fuel tank. This prevents contaminants from falling into the fuel system, which could damage the new pump or clog the injectors.
Seal Lubrication: When installing the new gasket, apply a very light coat of fuel-safe lubricant or clean engine oil to the seal. This helps it seat properly without bunching or tearing when the locking ring is tightened.
Quick Connect Safety: Ensure the fuel line "clicks" firmly onto the 9.49mm outlet. A loose connection can lead to a significant drop in fuel pressure or a dangerous leak.
Priming the System: After installation, cycle the ignition key to the "ON" position (without cranking) for 5 seconds, then back to "OFF." Repeat this three times. This allows the pump to fill the lines and clear any air pockets before the first engine start.
