Installation and Technical Tips
System Depressurization: Before beginning work, relieve the fuel system pressure at the fuel rail's service valve to prevent accidental fuel spray.
O-Ring Lubrication: To ensure a proper seal and prevent tearing during installation, apply a light coat of clean engine oil or specialized O-ring lubricant to the Viton seals before seating the injectors into the fuel rail and intake manifold.
Clean the Injector Bores: Use compressed air or a soft brush to remove dirt and debris from the intake manifold ports before pulling the old injectors. This prevents contaminants from falling directly into the cylinders.
Visual Inspection: While the fuel rail is removed, inspect the internal passages for rust or debris. Contamination in the fuel rail can quickly clog your new injectors.
Seat the Injectors Correctly: Ensure each injector "clicks" into the electrical harness and is fully seated in the fuel rail before bolting the rail back to the manifold to avoid vacuum or fuel leaks.
