Installation and Technical Tips
Pressure Relief: Before beginning installation, you must relieve the fuel system pressure. This is typically done by removing the fuel pump relay or fuse and cranking the engine until it stalls.
Port Cleaning: Use a vacuum or compressed air to clean the area around the base of the old injectors before removal. This prevents dirt and debris from falling directly into the combustion chamber through the injector ports.
O-Ring Lubrication: To ensure a proper seal and prevent tearing the O-rings during installation, apply a light coat of clean engine oil or specialized O-ring lubricant to the seals. Never install them dry, as this can lead to high-pressure fuel leaks.
ECU Reset: After replacing all eight injectors, it is recommended to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. This clears the "Long Term Fuel Trim" memory, allowing the engine computer to relearn the optimal fuel mapping for the new, high-flow injectors
