This all-in-one kit includes both the Inner Tie Rods (connected to the steering rack) and the Outer Tie Rod Ends (connected to the wheel) for both the driver and passenger sides. By replacing the entire linkage at once, you eliminate multiple potential points of failure and ensure a perfectly tight steering feel.

Installation and Technical Tips

  • Mandatory Alignment: Any time the steering linkage is opened or replaced, your vehicle's "Toe" setting is altered. A professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory immediately following installation to prevent rapid tire wear and ensure the steering wheel is centered.

  • The "Count" Method: When removing the old outer tie rod ends, count the exact number of full rotations required to unscrew them from the inner rods. Thread the new units on the same number of turns to achieve a "rough" alignment sufficient for driving the vehicle to an alignment shop.

  • Inner Tie Rod Removal: For the inner rods, using a specialized "Inner Tie Rod Tool" (a long hollow tube with crows-foot adapters) will allow you to break the torque on the steering rack without needing to remove the entire rack assembly from the vehicle.

  • Bellows Inspection: During installation, inspect the rubber steering rack boots (bellows). If they are torn, debris can enter the steering rack and damage the internal seals. Always secure the boots with high-quality clamps to keep the new inner joints protected.
