Installation and Technical Tips

• Pitman Arm Removal: A specialized Pitman Arm Puller is required for this installation. Avoid using hammers on the steering gearbox shaft, as the impact can damage the internal seals and bearings of the gearbox.

• Idler Bracket Support: The included Idler Arm Bracket is a significant upgrade over replacing the arm alone. Ensure the mounting surface on the vehicle frame is clean and free of rust scale to ensure the bracket sits perfectly level.

• Adjusting Sleeves: Apply a small amount of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new tie rod ends before threading them into the sleeves. This will make future alignments significantly easier for the technician.

• Mandatory Alignment: Replacing steering components fundamentally alters your vehicle's "Toe" setting. A professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory immediately after installation to ensure safety and prevent premature tire failure.
