Installation and Technical Tips
Diagnostic Check: To confirm your links are failing, grasp the link while the vehicle is on the ground and attempt to shake it. Any visible movement or "play" in the ball joint indicates the part has failed and requires replacement.
Wrench Support: These links typically feature a hex-nut or wrench flat at the base of the stud. It is critical to hold the stud stationary while tightening the mounting nut to prevent the ball joint from spinning, which can tear the protective dust boot.
Parallel Loading: For the easiest installation, raise both front wheels off the ground simultaneously. This removes the tension from the sway bar, allowing the link studs to slide easily into the mounting holes without the use of pry bars.
Torque to Spec: Ensure all fasteners are torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications. Under-tightening can lead to persistent noise, while over-tightening can damage the threads or the ball joint seat.
