Installation and Technical Tips
Laden Weight Torquing: To ensure the longevity of the new rubber bushings, do not perform the final tightening of the mounting bolts while the car is in the air. The suspension must be under the vehicle's full weight (on the ground or on drive-on ramps) before final torquing. Tightening while the suspension is hanging will "bind" the rubber, leading to premature tearing within a few months.
Alignment Required: Replacing a lower control arm alters your vehicle's camber and toe settings. A professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory following installation to prevent rapid tire scrubbing and to ensure the steering wheel remains centered.
Inspect the Ball Joint: Since this arm features a "Bolt-In" ball joint mounting type, inspect your existing ball joint for play. If it shows any signs of wear, it is highly recommended to replace it at the same time as the arm for a complete front-end refresh.
Aluminum Care: Aluminum suspension components are sensitive to surface damage. Avoid using heavy pry bars or hammers directly on the aluminum body of the arm during installation to maintain its structural integrity.
