Installation and Safety Guidelines

  • Check Your Rotor Size: Many Kia and Hyundai models have two possible rotor sizes (280mm vs 300/305mm). Installing 305mm rotors on a vehicle built for 280mm rotors will result in caliper interference.

  • Brake Clean Required: Rotors are often shipped with a protective oil coating to prevent rust. Use a dedicated brake parts cleaner to remove all grease and oil from the friction surfaces before assembly.

  • Ceramic Break-In: To maximize performance, follow a "bedding" procedure after installation. Perform 5 to 10 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph to transfer a thin layer of friction material from the pads to the rotors.

  • Inspect Hardware: While the pads are premium ceramic, always inspect your caliper slide pins and boots. Ensure the pins are lubricated with high-temperature silicone brake grease to prevent "frozen" calipers and uneven pad wear.
