Installation and Technical Tips

• Safety First: Support the vehicle securely on jack stands. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a floor jack.

• The "Ride Height" Rule: Do not perform the final torque on the control arm pivot bolts while the car is in the air. Lower the vehicle onto its own weight (at normal ride height) before tightening the bolts. Tightening them while the suspension is "drooped" will pre-load the rubber bushings at an unnatural angle, causing them to tear prematurely.

• Pinch Bolt Inspection: The ball joint on the Neon is secured to the steering knuckle via a pinch bolt. Carefully inspect the knuckle for any signs of wallowing or rust. Ensure the pinch bolt is torqued to factory specifications to prevent the ball joint from slipping.
