Installation and Technical Tips
Final Torquing at Ride Height: It is critical that you do not perform the final tightening of the control arm-to-chassis bolts while the vehicle is suspended on a jack or lift. Lower the vehicle onto its wheels so the suspension is at its natural "ride height" before torquing. Tightening the bushings while the arms are hanging at full droop will cause the rubber to twist and tear prematurely.
Alignment Required: Replacing lower control arms significantly alters your vehicle's camber and toe settings. A professional front-end alignment is required immediately after installation to ensure straight tracking and to protect your tires.
Ball Joint Greasing: While many modern replacements are sealed, check the ball joint for a grease zerk fitting. If present, apply a high-quality chassis grease until the boot slightly swells.
Inspect Associated Parts: Since the front suspension must be partially disassembled, this is the ideal time to inspect your coil springs, spring perches, and upper control arms for wear.
