Installation and Technical Tips

• Verify Material: Before purchasing, check your vehicle's current control arms with a magnet. If the magnet does not stick, you have aluminum arms and this is the correct replacement. If it sticks, you likely have the stamped steel version which requires a different part number.

• Torque to Static Ride Height: To prevent "bushing clocking" and premature rubber failure, do not fully tighten the bushing bolts while the car is on jack stands. Hand-tighten the bolts, lower the vehicle until the wheels are on the ground (supporting its own weight), and then perform the final torque to factory specifications.

• Stretch Bolts: Many Audi and VW suspension bolts are "One-Time Use" torque-to-yield fasteners. It is highly recommended to replace the mounting hardware to ensure the bolts maintain proper tension under load.

• Post-Installation Alignment: Any time a control arm is removed or replaced, the front-end alignment is disturbed. A professional 4-wheel alignment is necessary to ensure the vehicle tracks straight and to prevent rapid tire wear.
