Installation and Safety Guidelines
Diagnostic Signs: If you experience a noticeable "thud" when shifting from Park to Drive, or see the engine rocking excessively when the throttle is blipped, the front mount has likely suffered internal rubber tearing.
Engine Support: During installation, the engine must be supported from below using a jack and a wood block (to distribute weight across the oil pan) or an engine support bar. Never remove mounting bolts while the engine weight is unsupported.
Torque Sequence: Hand-tighten all bolts into the engine block and frame before final tightening. This ensures proper alignment and prevents cross-threading.
Inspect the Set: Because motor mounts often wear out in pairs, it is highly recommended to inspect the rear and transmission mounts while the front mount is being serviced.
