Installation and Technical Tips

• Bleeder Screw Orientation: Upon installation, confirm that the bleeder screw is located at the highest point of the caliper. If the bleeder is at the bottom, air will remain trapped in the upper chamber, leading to a dangerous "spongy" brake pedal.

• Phenolic Piston Care: Phenolic pistons offer excellent heat insulation but can be more sensitive to mechanical impact than steel pistons. When compressing the pistons to fit over new pads, use a flat brake tool or an old brake pad to apply even pressure and avoid chipping the piston edges.

• Lubricate Slide Pins: Even though the bracket is included, always apply a thin layer of high-temperature synthetic brake lubricant to the slide pins. This allows the floating caliper to move freely, preventing the brakes from dragging or sticking.

• Hydraulic Seal: This kit includes new copper crush washers. Ensure the mounting surface on the brake hose banjo fitting is clean and free of debris before torquing the banjo bolt to prevent slow hydraulic leaks.
