Complete Drive Shaft Replacement for 2002–2008 Mini Cooper with Automatic CVT

Fitment Verification and Vehicle Applications
This axle set is engineered exclusively for models with an Automatic CVT Transmission. It is not compatible with Manual Transmission models or the 6-speed Automatic found in later "S" models.

Installation and Maintenance Notes
Transmission Seal Inspection: While the axles are removed, it is highly recommended to inspect the transmission output shaft seals. Replacing these low-cost seals during the axle swap can prevent future fluid leaks.
Fluid Level: Some transmission fluid will escape during the removal of the old axles. Ensure you have the correct CVT-rated fluid on hand to top off the system to the proper level after installation.
Torque Warning: The axle nut must be torqued to the factory specification using a calibrated torque wrench. Never use an impact wrench for final tightening, as excessive force can damage the wheel bearings and CV joint internals.
Suspension Check: While the vehicle is disassembled, inspect the lower control arm bushings and ball joints, as worn suspension components can put additional stress on new CV axles.
