Installation and Technical Tips
Surface Preparation: These rotors are shipped with a protective oil coating to prevent rust during storage. You must thoroughly clean both friction surfaces with a high-quality brake parts cleaner before installation to prevent pad contamination.
Hub Maintenance: Use a wire brush to remove rust, scale, and debris from the wheel hub surface. Even a small amount of buildup can cause the rotor to sit unevenly, resulting in lateral runout and pedal pulsation.
New Brake Pads: It is highly recommended to install new brake pads whenever replacing rotors. Using old, unevenly worn pads on new rotors can create hot spots and significantly reduce the service life of the new discs.
Proper Torque Sequence: Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten lug nuts to the manufacturer's specification in a star pattern. Uneven lug torque is a leading cause of rotor distortion and premature warping.
