Installation and Technical Tips
Degrease Before Use: These rotors are shipped with a protective oil coating to prevent surface rust during storage. It is critical to clean both friction surfaces thoroughly with a high-quality brake cleaner prior to installation to avoid contaminating your new brake pads.
Hub Surface Preparation: Use a wire brush or abrasive pad to remove all rust and debris from the wheel hub mounting surface. Any unevenness on the hub can result in lateral runout, leading to a pulsating brake pedal shortly after installation.

Check Caliper Slides: Given the age and heavy-duty nature of these trucks, ensure your caliper slide pins are free-moving and well-lubricated with high-temperature silicone grease. Seized pins will cause uneven pad wear and can overheat your new rotors.
Correct Torque Sequence: Always use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten the 8 lug nuts in a star pattern to the factory-specified torque. Improper or uneven tightening with an impact wrench is the leading cause of premature rotor warping on heavy-duty Dodge trucks.
