Installation and Technical Tips

• Hydraulic Bleeding: Because this kit includes new calipers, the braking system will be opened to the atmosphere. It is mandatory to perform a full system bleed starting from the passenger rear and moving toward the driver front. Use the included DOT 3 & 4 fluid to ensure the lines are free of air bubbles.

• Rotor Degreasing: New rotors are treated with a shipping oil to prevent surface rust. Use the provided brake cleaner to thoroughly strip this oil from both friction faces of the rotors. Residual oil will lead to pad contamination and permanent noise issues.

• Copper Washer Replacement: Always use new copper crush washers (typically included with calipers) when reconnecting the brake lines to the new calipers. Reusing old washers is the most common cause of slow hydraulic leaks at the banjo bolt.

• Wheel Bearing Service: On 1994–1996 4WD Ford models, the rotor is mounted behind the hub. Since you must disassemble the hub to replace the rotor, this is the perfect opportunity to clean and repack your wheel bearings with fresh high-temperature grease.
