Installation and Technical Tips
Simple Installation: This unit is designed for a "snap-on" fit. To install, align the clips on the backing plate with the motor actuator inside the mirror housing and press firmly in the center until you hear a click.
Removal of Old Glass: If the old glass is still in the housing, use a flat-head screwdriver or a plastic pry tool to gently pop the old backing plate off the actuator. Wear eye protection and gloves, as broken glass can be hazardous.
Verify Options: Before purchasing, check the glass surface of your current mirror for a "heated" symbol (usually a defrost icon). If your mirror has this icon, this non-heated version will physically fit but will lose the defrosting function.
Convex Perspective: This passenger-side mirror uses convex glass to provide a wider field of view. Always remember that "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" when merging into traffic or changing lanes.
