Installation and Maintenance Tips
Electronic Parking Brake (EPB): Most of these Audi models are equipped with an EPB. You must use a diagnostic scan tool (like VCDS or OBDeleven) to put the rear calipers into "Service Mode" before compressing the pistons.
Cleaning: Use a dedicated brake parts cleaner to remove the protective oil coating from the rotor surfaces before installation. Failure to do so can contaminate your new brake pads.
Hub Preparation: Use a wire brush to remove any rust or debris from the wheel hub surface. A clean mounting surface is essential to prevent lateral runout and future vibrations.
