Installation and Technical Tips
Safety First: Never open a cooling system while the engine is hot. Wait at least one hour after the vehicle has been running to avoid high-pressure steam and scalding liquid.
Inspect the Overflow Hose: When removing the old tank, check the small overflow hose for clogs or internal collapses. If the hose is blocked, the engine will not be able to draw coolant back into the radiator, even if the reservoir is full.

Proper Coolant Selection: Ensure you use the correct coolant type (typically a Phosphate-based Organic Acid Technology, or P-OAT, for Hyundai/Kia) as specified in your owner's manual. Mixing incompatible coolants can lead to gelling and cooling system failure.
System Bleeding: After installation, fill the reservoir to the "Full" line and run the engine with the cabin heater on. This helps purge any trapped air pockets from the system that may have entered during the swap.
