Installation and Technical Tips
Panel Access: To access the three mounting bolts and the 3-pin electrical connector, you must remove the interior door panel. Using plastic trim removal tools is highly recommended to avoid scratching the interior plastics or breaking the panel clips.
Pre-Installation Test: Before fully securing the mounting nuts and reinstalling the door panel, plug the wiring harness into the new mirror and test the adjustment switch. Verify that the glass moves correctly in all four directions.
Weather Seal: Ensure the foam gasket on the back of the mirror base is seated perfectly flush against the door's metal skin. A gap here can lead to annoying wind whistles at highway speeds or water intrusion into the door cavity.
Bolt Torque: Tighten the mounting nuts until snug. Do not over-torque, as this can crack the plastic mirror base or strip the mounting studs.
